Spring Roses | Hope Ink

Spring is in full swing here in sunny California, and I’m continuing my season of simplifying, organizing, and general de-cluttering of all the things. With four kids, two dogs, and a semi-regular habit of moving, I’m coming to terms with the fact that this is an ongoing (lifelong?) process that will never be fully DONE. I want to be okay (even content) with the less than perfect messiness of life, and to be grateful for what that means.

Life.

Abundance.

Growth.

To be genuinely thankful for what is, rather than longing for an always elusive, unattainable ideal. To be able to sincerely say …

In cleaning up my little sun-room studio, getting ready for next week’s big surprise (which I promise to tell you more about soon), I found a few more things I thought were sold out. Seems like the perfect time for a little giveaway, don’t you think?

    Hey!! from middle Tennessee! After a dreary, rainy winter, it finally feels like spring! Everything is green and blooming….with all the pollen that comes with it! I have cleaned out my closet and gotten rid of some clothes. I hope to start working on the kids’ closets next! Happy Spring!

    Happy Spring to all! Thank you for your sweet giveaways & beautiful artwork!! Finally got some rain in the desert SE New Mexico (thanks Lord!), Chinaberry trees are starting to bloom and fill the air with their delicious scent. I need to tackle my guest room that has slowly been filled to the max! Thanks for the tips, now to “get-r-done”.😊

    Here in Southern Illinois, my peonies are about to bloom. We’re in the thick of the April showers, and the early spring flowers and flowering trees are nearly done (though the dogwoods have been beautiful the past few days).
    My biggest decluttering project is our basement, which is basically storage. Then it’s my kids’ clothes, because they keep wearing the same outfits and ignoring the rest, so it’s time.

    So definitely NO roses here but tulips and daffodils are springing up everywhere and my lilac bush will soon follow!

    Currently it’s our bedroom and my husbands office!

    It is supposed to rain all day tomorrow here in Southwest Missouri, but everything is blooming beautifully!! I need to de-clutter everything – total reset ☺️

    We just moved to Japan and made it in time to see the Cherry blossoms – absolutely gorgeous. 🙂 And since we just moved my whole house is in a shambles as everything is everywhere and we need to get it organized. I always enjoy your artwork. We have several prints that need to find their way onto our new walls. 🙂

    The weather here is beautiful. Things are in full bloom! The crosses on top of the pine trees are my faves!! The room that needs decluttered the most is my daughters room. It’s bad😳

    Here in Puget Sound it’s been rainy (I love rain!!) but we got some spring sunshine this afternoon, perfect for a family walk. The petals in our ornamental cherry are falling and being replaced by small clusters of green leaves. As for de-cluttering… Oh man. Everything. The garage is the worst because each time we’ve cleaned out a room to make room for a new baby, random boxes of stuff get sent to the garage. And the baby clothes… Oh so many boxes of too-small clothes waiting for the “next one.” But babies don’t need that many clothes! 😂 If I went through them I could easily donate or give away 2/3 of what’s piled up in the garage and still keep enough to clothe any future babies!

    Hi! I’m in London where it’s been lovely and sunny for the Easter weekend- a welcome break from spring drizzles!
    I’m expecting my third child in 6 weeks so decluttering everything, but especially my kids room/closet!

    Spring is on its way in and I’m so thankful for its cheeriness as we are in the final days before a big move! Decluttering has been happening lots due to the move but paper clutter is definitely my nemesis!

    Cloudy, mostly, and temps in the upper 50’s or lower 60’s here in upstate NY. The spring flowers have begun blooming, and the grass is mostly green now. The leaves are just beginning to come out on the trees. My whole house needs decluttering-!! I absolutely love Dana White! She is my inspiration for decluttering. 🙂

    We’re currently in the midst of a thunderstorm here in Texas, but it’s been a nice 70-80 degrees and sunny around here the last week or so. We did a major declutter last summer before making a cross country move but I have some random decluttering throughout the house.

    Hi-dy from West Texas! The weather here has been rainy with a lot of thunder storms. The wild flowers are blooming and everything is green for now. I did signup for the de-cluttering challenge and will start at all the stuff on my desk…Help!

    Hi! We have blue skies and sunshine here in Colorado! The trees are budding and all the grass getting green. Just waiting for the lilacs and iris to bloom:) I would say my whole house needs some decluttering but mostly my school room!

    We’re in southern MN, and some places still have some snow left to melt, but our yard is nicely green and the crocuses are coming up. I definitely need to declutter my sewing/crafting room so I can get some projects done! Thank you for the chance to win!

    Hi Emily! Spring is in its prime in north Florida. A few more weeks will be too hot to enjoy meals and schoolwork outdoors.
    My dining room is also the school room and where shoes, craft table for kids, and meals are held. Decluttering seems like a constant, ongoing need there !

    Beautiful weather in Tennessee. Irises, clematis, and azaleas are all in bloom. We tackled the garage last weekend, and need to declutter the master bedroom next. Love your work!

    Hello from Alberta, Canada. The lawn is slowly turning green, the tulips are up, but no leaves on the trees quite yet. And a forecast of rain mixed with snow for the weekend….which leaves more time for indoor projects before gardening season! Our biggest decluttering challenge would be all those photos and personal mementos, so overwhelming.

    Hello from North Carolina where pollen season is in full force, but the cool spring has been Amazing!! Actually getting yard work done before the buzzing creatures appear in full force… My worst clutter spaces are my room, my school/craft room, and our reading room… They are my rotating catch alls 😛

    Hi Emily! I’m a Texas gal, and everything is super green here, and starting to warm up! We enjoyed seeing all of the wildflowers in bloom as we drove up to the Panhandle to spend Easter weekend at my husband’s dad’s church! It was beautiful.
    Our office/ guest room is in the most need of decluttering. It very quickly becomes an easy dumping ground. We live in a small house and that’s the only bedroom that someone doesn’t live or sleep in!

    I live in northern Idaho, so there is still a mix of snow and mud everywhere, but the temps are getting warmer, the ground is starting to dry out, and the snow berms are getting smaller every day.

    As far as decluttering, well everything needs a good cleaning after the very snowy winter, but if I had to pick the one that needs the most attention right now is the living room (putting away winter boots, coats, boot chains, etc). I’m really just waiting for a nicer, sunnier, day so I can open the windows and do a more thorough spring cleaning.

    I’m in Alabama and the flowers are beginning to bloom. I have a she shed that I use for art classes and it’s become a dumping ground. I need to organize and declutter so badly. I’m embarrassed for my students to see it some weeks.

    It is starting to turn green in Ohio. We are having typical spring weather with some showers, wind, and warmth. I am working on a long project of organizing and decluttering the basement. I nested all nine months of my pregnancy last year and can’t wait to get out of the newborn phase to start over again. I need to get rid of more.

    Oh! And our garage is needing the most decluttering as well! It’s a hot mess in there, full of lots of useful things that can rarely be found amongst the not so useful things and things in all the wrong places.

    I love in Texas but currently am visiting Oregon. Texas is sunshine and a bit of humidity. My jasmine plant has more blooms than it ever has before and it smells glorious! In Oregon, the weather is a bit overcast but the flowering trees are everywhere and b-e-a-utiful!

    So many new sprouts in the garden here in South Carolina and sunflowers well on their way. I can already picture their sunny faces shining this summer. My office and guest room is in desperate need of decluttering clean up, and soon!

    Our craft room definitely needs the most help. But it will have to wait, because while it’s a little chilly first thing in the morning, by the time the girls are home from school, it’s too nice to be inside.

    Hi! This is Kelly! We live in Upstate New York….Rain and overcast! That is the weather of choice here for most of the year!!! My house is most in need of decluttering home school stuff!!! We are in the midst of a move across country, so we are attempting to declutter/throw away as much as we can!!!

    Hi here in Toowomba, Queensland AUSTRALIA we are in Autumn or Fall, we’ve had a wonderful long hot summer with extreme heatwaves, our leaves are changing colour and there is a chill in the air. Oh how I wish it spring time again!!
    I need to declutter nearly all of my house with 6 children we have a lot. My room has become the dumping place, so will work on that.

    Today was a gorgeous 70 degree sunny day in my area! We have been getting quite a bit of rain, which means the grass is green and new life is blooming. My downstairs bedroom is the area of my house most in need of decluttering. It has become a catch all room!

    The weather here was gorgeous today! Lots of beautiful sunshine and warm breezes. My backyard seems to have turned bright green overnight. Our storage building is in great need of decluttering along with a couple of closets inside the house.

    Lovely little buds are getting bigger and bigger in here in the thumb of Michigan! Yesterday was mid 60’s. Today I think we were lucky to hit 50! Better, warmer days ahead!!
    My most cluttered space is the office! I struggle to keep my work at home space separate from my home space.

    Hi, here in MA spring has definitely sprung! One day it’s gorgeous & sunny, then the next it’s pouring with rain. Helps the grass and flowers grow! Honestly, my kids’ toys are what we most need to go through and de-clutter. They have too many and they don’t play with even half of them.

    Our garage is in need of de-cluttering, as my husband of more than 35 years passed away this past January, 21 days after turning 65. It was God’s better plan for him and for me. He was in the process of making himself an infrared sauna to help heal his lung cancer, so you can imagine the wood pieces, tools, etc., etc., that my daughters and I will have to sort through! The infamous Texas wildflowers are almost done, but the weather has been great, which is one of the blessings of living in south central Texas!

    I LOVED the roses on your post. Beautiful!! I also loved the idea of being content with what we have. I have more than enough-especially in my basement :)! Our family has been decluttering and sprucing up the house this past week and I hope to continue until we get it all done!!

    The past week in NH we have had the cycle of sunny days in the upper 60s alternating with rainy days in the low 50s. I think the last pile of snow on the north side of our house should be gone by this weekend. Most trees and our lilacs have leaf buds and the daffodils are starting to come up. But we have a couple of columbines, some mini daffodils, tulips and a couple of different lilies in the house that were bought for Easter and birthdays.

    Our biggest mess right now is boxes and piles of clothes. We are packing away everyone’s winter clothes and pulling out our spring/summer clothes while sorting out all those that do not fit (four girls that are always growing) and getting rid of anything not really worn this past season.

    Greetings from the San Joaquin Valley in California! Summer has begun – the fields are dry and brown already but the roses are thriving in the garden. I’ve been decluttering my bedroom – paper clutter is the worst!
