Are you looking forward to a time to rest and reflect and just be. thankful.
For everything He’s blessed us with?
I know how easy it is to get caught up in the busy-ness (nay, full-on stress –or is that just me?) of preparing for a holiday. Thinking everything has to be just-so. Worrying about the million and one urgent items that seem to pile up on the to-do list.
And even skipping over the thankfulness and contentment part and moving straight on to strategizing for the next -bigger- holiday where we all must buy more things. Jumping right back into the whirlwind of crazy (or never leaving in the first place).
So, here’s the cure. Ready?
Come before Him. With true thanks-giving.
Bow down in worship.
Before the Lord. Your Maker.
Because He’s the great King.
He owns the earth, the sea, every single mountain peak.
We’re His sheep. His flock.
And don’t miss those last little three words …
“under His care.”
Be content in that. Give thanks that He is the great God above every crazy thing.
And you are in HIS care.
So, so much to be thankful for.
PS: I got downright teary illustrating this Scripture -thinking about how amazing He is and how loved we are, as His children. I would love for you to take some time with your kiddos (or just you) reflecting on these words as you color one for yourself.
Then print one -or ten- and remember how great He is. And how loved you are.
*hope ink free printables are available for personal, non-commercial use.
