Living Intentionally

Words of the Year Scripture Calendar Cards

Do you have a word for the year?

It can be a simple way to focus on one overall goal or theme as you purpose to live each day with intention. Honestly, I always have a hard time choosing just one word. I ended up writing down thirty one of my favorites, one for each day of the month.

Then I matched the words with verses (with lots of help from my sweet husband) and created a brand new Words Of The Year Perpetual Scripture Calendar, which I’m thrilled to finally get to share with you!

So many of you loved the Advent Cards Calendar I did for Christmas, that I had a hard time keeping it in stock. Which gave me the idea to create one that could be used and enjoyed all year. It’s perfect for using every month, even from year to year, and such an easy and beautiful way to focus on truth in bite-size pieces.

You can find them in the Hope Ink shop here >

NEW ART PRINTS

I’ve also added several new art prints to the shop, including the Words of The Year series and a soft and sweet Monogram collection.

And I’d love to hear if there’s a special verse or word that you’d like to have made into a design. Let me know, and I’ll add it to my (always growing) list. There’s also an option to CHOOSE YOUR OWN WORD with the Words of The Year prints, which is a fun way to personalize you or a friend’s wall.

One Of The Best Things I Did Last Year

Free Printable Bible Reading Plan

ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I DID

Setting goals (and keeping them) can be hard. But they can also be such a blessing when you follow through (how ever imperfectly) and see real results that make a difference, big or small, in your life and the lives of those you love.

The beginning of a new year, let alone a new decade, is a natural time to take stock of where you’re at, where you’ve been, and where you want to go.

And whether you make resolutions, set goals, or just take small, daily steps in the right direction, one of the best things you can do for yourself and for your relationship with God and others, is to spend regular time each day in Scripture. There’s truly nothing like it, and it sets the tone and foundation for everything else.

Last year, I made a commitment to read the Bible every day from beginning to end. It wasn’t the first time I had done this, but it was the first time I did it in chronological order. Every time it truly gets sweeter, and I see so much more than I did before. And I always tear up in the last few chapters, imagining what it will be like to see Jesus face to face.

So, at the top of my list for this year is starting the Bible over again. And I would love for you to join me!

FREE PRINTABLE BIBLE READING PLAN

I put together this handy printable for us: THE 1 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN. You don’t have to have a “special” Bible to do this – just click on the photo above or head to my FREE PRINTABLES page, download and print off the double sided sheet, fold it in half, and slip it in your Bible where you’ll always be able to see where you’re at. You can check off the box for each day or highlight the reference to mark your progress. And don’t stress if you miss a day or three – just pick up where you left off and keep going! Faithfulness is the goal. Not perfection.

For more on getting the most out of your time in the Word, this is a great, practical list my husband put together on INCREASING YOUR VIEW OF SCRIPTURE – it’s so helpful.

gift for you

Hope you had a sweet and blessed Christmas, friend.

Ours was a quiet one spent at home with just us. My favorite kind. And we got to share Christmas Eve with our church family at our traditional candlelight service, remembering the miracle of Jesus coming to earth as a tiny babe. God with us. An incomparable GIFT beyond all comprehension. Favorite gift ever.

My other favorite gift this year was a new study Bible from my husband. Reading this morning, I was reminded that regardless of what we may or may not have, or what the state of disarray in our homes, families, or even the whole world, our HOPE should always be firmly fixed on Him, the One who is always faithful and who has promised that He will return for us someday. True hope. One of my other favorite things this year was seeing our kids come up with gifts for each other, without (much) help from parents.

How about you? Did you have a favorite gift that you either received or were able to give to someone?

I absolutely loved packaging up and shipping out all your Christmas orders from the Hope Ink shop. And I have one more gift for you to close out the last few days of the decade (!)

Here’s the deal: I marked down the last of the 2020 Calendars, Special Bundles, Art Cards, and any remaining Christmas Items. And I have an extra coupon code for 25% OFF – that you can apply in addition to the sale prices.

+ Plus: Free Shipping is still in effect for all orders over $75.

Just use code GOODBYE2019 to take 25% OFF EVERYTHING including special bundles and sale items. *valid through midnight, December 31st, 2019

Of course, I’d love to hear what your favorite gifts this year were (Christmas or otherwise). And I’ll be back in a few days with some more fun treats for 2020!
