When our kids were little, we had a book and CD of songs with a different verse for each letter of the alphabet to help them hide God’s Word in their hearts.

Ever since then, designing pretty Scripture Cards from A-Z has been something I’ve had on my heart to create. And even though 3 out of 4 of our babies are now teenagers, I’m happy to say that I finally finished this project – with a little help from those same kiddos!

I love how versatile these are – so many different ways to use them!

Black Friday Shopping at Home

The older I get, the less braving the crowds, traffic and general chaos the day after Thanksgiving appeals to me. You too? Especially now that so many deals can be found online – from big retailers to small, handmade shops – the thought of losing sleep and risking life and limb has lost whatever excitement it may have once held.

No sir, I’d much rather whip up a batch of this easy homemade eggnog, turn on some classical Christmas Pandora, print out some coloring sheets for the kids, and shop away.

Tomorrow we’ll get all the decorations out and set up the tree … mainly just so we can hang up this new handmade keepsake from the talented Lisa Leonard.

Christmas Shopping And A Coupon Code

So, any serious Black Friday deal finders out there?

I must admit, I ventured out last night, after the kiddos were in bed, while my husband caught up on football. It lasted all of half an hour. I had hopes of getting a bike for one of the kids that has outgrown theirs. However. Can I just tell you that when I saw the *madness* (and I do not use that word lightly, I promise) that was the Wal Mart parking lot, I just kept on driving. Did not exit my vehicle. Did not pass Go. Just calmly and quietly drove straight home.

That was the beginning and end of my big Black Friday adventure.

But I must say that I did find some great online deals for specific things I was looking for. Now that is my kind of shopping. Nice and comfortable in my own living room, with a hot cup of decaf coffee, and the kids sleeping soundly down the hall. No scary mobs or freezing long lines, thank you very much.

So, what do you think, did I miss the boat? Was the camping out worth it?
