Sunday’s Coming …

Its Friday But Sunday Is Coming Printable Easter Art

It’s Friday, but Sunday is coming …

Aren’t you glad Friday isn’t the end of the story?

Jesus showed up, just as He told His disciples He would, three days after being laid in the grave. And He’ll be coming back for us one day soon too, just as He promised.

Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (John 14:1-3)

Jesus is coming soon, friends!

What a hope, no matter the state of the world.

And if you don’t have that hope, now’s the perfect time to find it. Read the gospel of John and hear it for yourself.

Do not fear, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King is coming! -John 12:15

The Lord Is My Shepherd

The Lord Is My Shepherd | Hand Lettered Scripture Art | Hope Ink

When I was in first grade in a tiny one-room mountain schoolhouse, I memorized the twenty-third Psalm. In King James English. And those words – six verses filled with unmatched richness – have always stayed with me through the ups and downs, the blessings and trials of life.

Incredibly, this divinely inspired poetry, written by a shepherd boy turned king, who faced down wild beasts, imposing giants, and fierce enemy armies, is just as meaningful and comforting to us today, thousands of years after it was first penned.

Solid truth that never changes and reminds us that our God is in control. Always and forever.

Surely Goodness and Mercy Shall Follow Me All The Days of My Life | Hand Lettered Psalm 23 Scripture Art | Hope Ink

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Oh, friends, let’s fix our eyes on the Shepherd, no matter where He leads us in this rapidly changing world. He is faithful. He is with us, and if we are His, He has promised to never leave us. What comfort. What hope!

Safety In An Unsafe World

Thou Art With Me | Hand Lettered Psalm 23 Scripture Art | Hope Ink

No matter what corner of the world you’re in, things have been more than a little anxiety inducing lately, haven’t they? And it can be so tempting to give in to fear. Sometimes it seems almost impossible to experience true peace – whether because of world events or day to day challenges.

So here’s the thing: I wanted to remind you today that you’re not alone in this oh-so-common struggle against anxiety. And to let you know that there is hope and real solutions available.

Some of you may know that my husband is a biblical counselor. And I like to say that while I love making pretty art out of Scripture, he’s doing the more serious in-the-trenches kind of work, sharing the hope and life-changing truth of God’s Word where people need it most. After more than 20 years of ministry and counseling, he’s found that anxiety is definitely one of the most prevalent issues, affecting almost every area of life. It’s a big deal. But the incredibly good news is that there’s so much hope and peace when you know where to look!

Recently my Mark was asked to speak on the much-needed topic of how to feel safe in an unsafe world, as well as share some practical, biblical tools for overcoming anxiety. It couldn’t have come at a better time, and I think you’ll be as encouraged as I was if get a chance to listen.

OVERCOMING ANXIETY: WATCH OR LISTEN HERE +

Also, please let us know how we can pray for you, or if you or someone you know needs counseling. We are here to help in whatever way we can.

And if you, like me, could use some visual encouragement as well, you can head over to the FREE PRINTABLES page, where I do my best to always have something ready to speak hope to your heart.
