Inspiring Creativity: New Art Project Printables

Free Scripture Art Project Printables | Hope Ink

Last week I got the chance to share at a local Mom’s Group about ways we can inspire creativity in our kids.

One of the things we talked about was giving kids (and ourselves) creative boosts or “jumping off points.” Because, let’s face it: a blank white page can be intimidating to even the most artistic among us. Something my kids always loved when they were younger was to have me start a project that they could finish however they wanted to. Kind of like training wheels for creativity.

These printables were created with that idea in mind. Simple black and white outlines that can be painted, colored, glued to, collaged, or anything else that strikes your fancy. Each has a few key words from a special scripture along with the reference so you can look it up and add the rest of the verse in your own handwriting.

Here’s the masterpieces my ten year old created, all on her own, complete with added texture and sparkle. Aren’t they amazing? And, as always, we’d absolutely love to see what you create!

Planning Favorites + Printables

Free Planning Printables | Hope Ink

Like most of you, January usually brings out the planner in me!

So I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite calendar-y type printables and other rainbow goodies … (and I’d love to hear of any others you’ve found!)

The happy striped planner was a Christmas gift (picked out by me!), designed by the lovely Ruth at Living Well – you can FIND IT HERE.

Best of My Days Printable

This is a fun printable for each month from Ashley at Under The Sycamore – “The idea is simple: write down the best part of your day … each day.”

Bible Reading Tracker Printable

I love this Bible reading tracker from Jaimi at Raising Up Rubies – a simple and pretty way to keep track of your time in God’s Word each day.

Free Goal Planning Printable | Hope Ink

This is a new goal planning + gratitude worksheet I just created – inspired by our Pastor’s sermon this last Sunday. It has space to reflect on the previous year’s blessings and challenges, as well as dream for the upcoming year. If you have kids, this is a great one to have each of them do (on their own – or with a little help from mom, as needed). And if you have boys (like mine) – they may not appreciate the pink rose embellishments, which is why I made a plain version, sans roses. You can find both on the Hope Ink Printables page, along with the Year At A Glance Calendar for 2018

We had lotssssssss of entries on the Calendar-Giveaway-For-You-And-A-Friend over on Instagram and Liz E. was the happy winner of two of these big art calendars …

2018 Hope Ink Scripture Art Calendar Giveaway

And since many of you asked about how to get your own, I’m having another limited run printed this week. They’re back in the Hope Ink shop (on sale for 20% off, along with the few remaining mini-hanger calendars) – but only until Sunday, so don’t miss out!

My sweet Ruby girl and I restocked local shops in Clovis, Kingsburg, and Visalia this weekend with Hope Ink goodies, along with some brand new Ruby Rose treasures – so if you get a chance to stop by Revival 23 or Enjoy The Store, be sure to keep a lookout for them!

We Love To Color (And Craft)!

WE LOVE TO COLOR

Years ago, when my kids were all littles, they would ask me to draw pictures for them to color. Of course, I was only too happy to oblige. And then I started posting them on the Hope Ink blog to share with you too! You can see all of the FREE DOWNLOADS HERE including Christmas ones (more coming soon!)

WE LOVE TO CRAFT TOO

As an artist, I love to create all kinds of things. Naturally, drawing and lettering are my favorites, but I always enjoy exploring other crafty-type endeavors too. Even though I’ve learned to knit and crochet, I think I’ve forgotten how to do both since it’s not something I do regularly! But being a mom has a way of encouraging you to try new things and re-learn old ones with your kids –or just watch in amazement as they lead the way.

If you, like me, are wanting some new ideas and a little crafty direction, this fun (and huge) Handmade Bundle might be right up your alley. It even includes a free Craftsy class if you sign up by tomorrow. Handmade Christmas gifts, anyone?

And I always love to see your coloring and crafting pictures, so don’t forget to share your creations with us!

Free Thanksgiving Scripture Coloring Printable | Hope Ink

In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. -1 Thessalonians 5:18

Here’s a new coloring printable for you, friends! Just click on the image above to download the pdf file. Then print multiple copies so everyone can get in on the Thanksgiving coloring fun. (I’d love to see your finished masterpieces, so be sure to tag Hope Ink on Instagram or Facebook if you share!)

I don’t know about you, but I’m giving thanks this week for so many blessings.

But I’m thankful most of all that our God is faithful forever.

No matter what circumstances look like, no matter what else changes and disintegrates around us, He remains the same. Yesterday, today, and forever. That is always cause for thanks giving.

Giving Thanks Hand-Lettered Wood Pumpkin | Hope Ink

Heavenly Father, we around this table thank You for Your great gift of life, that Your love for us is not dependent on any worthiness of ours; for good health, that we know neither hunger nor want; for warm clothes to wear; for those who love us best; for family and friends whose words of encouragement have often chased away dark clouds; for the joy of living; for many an answered prayer; for kindly providences and protection that have preserved us from danger and harm. We thank You that still we live in a land bountifully able to supply our needs, a land which still by Your providence knows peace; a land with peaceful valleys and smiling meadows still serene. O help us, Lord to appreciate all that we have, to be content with it and to be grateful for it – not in an arrogant pride that boasts, but in a gratefulness that strives to be more worthy. In Your Name, to Whose bounty we owe these blessings spread before us; to You we give our gratitude.

– Reverend Peter Marshall, U.S. Senate Chaplain
