HI FRIEND

How are you? I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving weekend, and are looking forward to the Christmas season! As for me, I’ve had a whirlwind of a year, which I can’t wait to tell you more about.

SPOILER ALERT

For starters, I went on a month long backpacking trip with my daughters, which was the inspiration for the new Joy In The Journey Calendar. It’s definitely been an intense labor of love as well as a sweet collaboration with my youngest girl, Ruby Rose, who did all the sketches as we trekked through eight (!) different countries in Europe. I am constantly amazed by her seemingly effortless artistic gift and am so excited to be able to share more of her work with you.

While I loved exploring the world with the girls, I’ve also been so grateful to be “planted” back at home with my husband and the rest of the family, enjoying the familiar rhythms of daily life – which was what inspired the theme of the 2026 Planted Mini Calendar

So, among other things, our oldest son got married last month (to the girl of his dreams, who he’s known since they were in the same Sunday School class as three year olds)!

Meanwhile, I’m over here still processing the fact that my children are old enough to be starting families of their own. We really are beyond blessed. But also, how is this possible?!

FREE PRINTABLE BIBLE READING PLAN

The beginning of a new year is a natural time to take stock of where you’re at, where you’ve been, and where you want to go. So I put together a few simple printables to help keep me on track and wanted to share them with you too.

Whether you make resolutions, set goals, or just take small, daily steps in the right direction, one of the best things you can do for yourself and for your relationship with God and others, is to spend regular time each day in Scripture. There’s truly nothing like it, and it sets the tone and foundation for everything else.

For the last several years, I’ve been reading through the Bible from beginning to end (in chronological order), starting in January, and following a Bible reading plan that breaks it down in order each day. Every time it truly gets sweeter, and I see so much more than I did before. And I always tear up in the last few chapters, imagining what it will be like to see Jesus face to face.

So, at the top of my list for this year is starting the Bible over again. And I would love for you to join me!

You don’t have to have a “special” Bible to do this – just download and print off the double sided sheet, fold it in half, and slip it in your Bible where you’ll always be able to see where you’re at. You can check off the box for each day or highlight the reference to mark your progress. And don’t stress if you miss a day or three – just pick up where you left off and keep going! Faithfulness is the goal. Not perfection.

Second, this YEAR AT A GLANCE CALENDAR for 2024 is a handy tool to be able to see your year laid out all at once.

Hang it on the wall, or fold it and keep it in your planner, notebook, or Bible for quick reference. When the year is over, you can cut off the date portion and keep or frame the Scripture art.

Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving!

We were blessed to be able to share a delicious meal and sweet fellowship with some out of town friends-who-are-like-family. And as our kids get older, every gathering is that much more precious when we’re all together.
